BIO
Michał Grotecki is a composer of classical, popular, and media music, as well as a songwriter, whose dedication to the piano began in early childhood. He is the First Prize winner of the 9th International Interpretation Competition Student Artistic Activity in Ružomberok, Slovakia. In 2014, he debuted with The Stream of Life, a suite for mixed choir and symphony orchestra, premiered at the Częstochowa Philharmonic.
His oratorios The Siege of Jasna Góra and The Vows of John II Casimir—combining narrator, choir, orchestra, and sound effects—earned him recognition among the composers associated with Jasna Góra. Since 2017, he has also been writing songs; his works appeared on Gloria Lipińska’s album Diary, and the single Zostań, composed for The White Tigers, helped the band reach the semifinals of Got Talent in 2019.
He holds a master’s degree in Professional Media Composition from the University of Chichester in the United Kingdom, specializing in music for film, commercials, and video games. He is a regular collaborator on the audio‑story series Hello Zoś.
Michał draws inspiration from attentive observation of the world and from painting—he occasionally picks up a brush himself. His passion for cinema, video games, and the language of advertising fuels his creativity and sharpens his sensitivity to storytelling. He welcomes collaboration on film, entertainment, and commercial projects where music can help shape the narrative and bring the entire vision to life.

”I recommend Michał Grotecki to anyone who values not only creativity and a distinct, well-defined style, but also expects professional, straightforward collaboration.”

”Michał Grotecki is distinguished by an exceptional sensitivity to sound and meticulous attention to detail.”

”Working with Michał is an absolute pleasure. He knows how to match the emotion in the music with the narrative in the text (which, in the case of children's stories, is no small feat). He listens to the author's vision, works quickly and tirelessly until the job is done, and has a great sense of humor.”
